The gold and silver treasures presented at the Black House are almost invaluable in terms of ideas. The collection from Bucharest is so valuable that the objects arrived in Szeged by machine-gun police, and the experts placed them in security displays.
There will be treasures for the general public, which were made from the beginning of golden age (from the second half of the 5th millennium BC) to the early Middle Ages (6th century). The objects were produced in the territory of today’s Romania in the 19-20. century.
Among the thousands of pieces of the collection are beautiful jewels: headdresses, medallions, rings, diadems, bracelets, earrings. They also have weapons of gold – dagger, sword, and battle picks – which were basically ornaments, so they were not deployed in real battles. They probably indicated a high rank of their owner and used them for religious ceremonies. In addition to jewelery and weapons, objects of everyday life include pots, mugs, cans and coins can be found in the Black House.
