


Szeged Day Celebration Returns with 11 Days of Festivities
This year, the Szeged Day Celebration will once again span 11 days, starting with the 29th Szeged Wine Festival, which opens on Thursday, May 15. Nearly 160 winemakers will offer their finest wines at Széchenyi Square, joined by around 30 vendors selling delicious food, sweets, and cheeses.
Musical performances will include Heinz Gábor Biga, Dolly, Bálint Gájer, Gergő Oláh, Ádám Szabó, Dóra Szinetár, Nikolas Takács, Reni Tolvai, Tamás Vastag, Patrik Zdroba, and Tha Shudras.
At Klauzál Square’s Artisan and Gastro Courtyard, visitors can enjoy mouth-watering dishes and craft beers, while local artisans also showcase their work starting May 15.
Dugonics Square will be dedicated to craftspeople and small-scale producers throughout the 11 days. Entertainers at this venue will include Animal Cannibals, András Csonka, Desperado feat. Timi, and Roy & Ádám.
From May 23 to 25, the Dóm Square CAVALCADE joins the program with free concerts. Performing acts include 4S Street, Gypo Circus x Szirota Jennifer, Hamvai PG, Hooligans, Ferenc Molnár Caramel, Nemazalány x Sofi, Street 16, Nyers, Belmondo, and Zoltán Erika.
The festival reaches its full scale on the second weekend, May 24–25, with the addition of the 24th Szeged Bridge Fair—a spectacular gathering of Hungarian artisans. The Belvárosi Bridge and Híd Street will be bustling with unique handmade goods and vibrant crowds.
