Based on a professional structure, the collaboration provides promotion and educational opportunities for emerging guitarists, sharing artists, events and Europe's premier guitar event between participating festivals. The main aim is to help young stars to develop their careers on the international stage, to strengthen the European market and to create a modern, stable classical guitar scene in cooperation with the rest of the world. The Szeged IGF is proud to have contributed to the promotion of classical guitar in Hungary from the very first years of the festival with sold-out concerts and significant media interest. The festival was founded in 1999 by guitarist and composer Dávid Pavlovits. He himself has performed in more than 30 countries, visiting such cult venues as Carnegie Hall in New York, Montreal, Moscow, Ankara and Shanghai. As an associate professor at the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged, he brings together one of the most popular and successful classical guitar communities in the country. Many of the winners of the Virtuosi classical music talent contest were his students. The Szeged IGF supports young stars with a strong professional background, scholarship programmes and performance opportunities at the festival. The aim was not only to create a long-lasting tradition, but also to bring internationally renowned stars to the audience in and around Szeged. Over the years we have invited renowned artists from 31 countries on 5 continents. 06 June 2024 (Thursday) Event start Event 16:00 - 18:00 Registration 19:00 - 20:30 FESTIVAL OPENING LENGYEL GUITARIST: Marcin Kuźniar (PL) and Mateusz Kowlaski (PL) 21:00 - 23:00 Dinner for festival artists and participants Szeged IGF - International Guitar Festival DUETTE Dinner: Henrique Miguel Medeiros Andrade (PT - flute) & Pedro Miguel Pereira Dias (PT - guitar) and Mireia Frutos Fernández (ES - piano) & Nathan Fischer (USA - guitar) 07 June 2024 (Friday) Event start Event 09:00 - 12:00 10th Szeged IGF International Guitar Competition 09:00 - 12:00 Masterclasses 12:00 - 14:00 Lunch for festival artists and participants 14:00 - 17:00 10th Szeged IGF International Guitar Competition 14:00 - 17:00 Masterclasses Henrique Miguel Medeiros Andrade (PT - flute) & Pedro Miguel Pereira Dias (PT - guitar) and Mireia Frutos Fernández (ES - piano) & Nathan Fischer (USA - guitar) 21:00 - 23:00 Dinner for the festival artists and participants Szeged IGF - International Guitar Festival FESTIVAL JAZZ/LATIN GALAEST: Antal Pusztai (Austria/Hungary) and Flamenco Sopianae (Hungary) 08 June 2024 (Saturday) Event start Event 09:00 - 12:00 10th Szeged IGF International Guitar Competition 09:00 - 12:00 Masterclasses 12:00 - 14:00 Lunch for festival artists and participants 14:00 - 17:00 10th Szeged IGF International Guitar Competition 14:00 - 17:00 Masterclasses 19:00 - 20:30 FESTIVAL JAZZ/LATIN GALAEST: Antal Pusztai (Austria/Hungary) and Flamenco Sopianae (Hungary) 21:00 - 23:00 Dinner for the festival artists and participants Információk: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Sz... 1 Honlap: http://www.gitarfesztival.hu/ 2 |
