Spring or summer, autumn or winter, we always find such programs and events in Szeged that the whole family can enjoy. From 17 to 26 May the Hungarian wine makers move to Szeged again. The 25th Wine Festival is organized in Széchenyi tér, where together with the Gastro Courtyard in Klauzál tér delicious wines and meals await visitors, while in Dóm tér spectacular concerts offer joyful entertainment. We could not welcome summer better than with the Deja Vu festival where between 7 and 10 June, well-known foreign and Hungarian musicians entertain guests. Among others, Eiffel 65, Sylver and 2 Unlimited will perform on the stages of Partfürdő. The Open Air Festival starts on 21 June featuring Wavig World (dance), We Will Rock You (musical), Shakespeare in Love (romantic comedy) Aida (opera), Titanic (musical), Don Juan (comedy) and others. Szőreg celebrates its famous roses with a 3-day festival every year. From 21 to 23 June the streets and squares of Szőreg are decorated with flowers on the Rose Festival of Szőreg . At the beginning of August the different types of concerts of Musical Courtyard held in the courtyard of the city hall with a special atmosphere offer summer entertainment of high standard. The THEALTER International Theatre Festival takes place in Szeged from 2 to 20 August. From year to year, it presents the performances of cross border and Hungarian artists. The citizens of Szeged commemorate the foundation of the state and the birthday of Hungary with the 4-day Quay Festival and Craft Beer Festival. From 16 to 20 August the Huszár Mátyás Quay is full with the best brewers and street food of Hungary, while well-known artists entertain visitors on the central stage. This summer we can support the best sportsmen of Kayak and Canoe in Hungary, during the NKM Olympic Qualifier ICF Kayak Canoe World Championship . It is held from 21 to 25 August at Maty-ér, where the best sportsmen and sportswomen of 100 countries, approximately 1600 athletes including 50 Hungarian are expected to participate in the competition. At the last weekend of August the music festival of SZIN is organized in Partfürdő with the concerts of several Hungarian and foreign singers and bands. The 24th International Tisza Fish Festival takes place in Szeged from 6 to 8 September.
