On the occasion of the World Animal Day on 4 October, the Szeged Zoo awaits visitors with a big variety of programs and informative presentations. It is followed by the Adopters’ Day on 7 October with spectacular animal shows, playful competitions and the Adopters’ Meeting.
The Szeged Paprika Show and Chili Weekend is organized on the second weekend of October. It takes place in Széchenyi Square. Besides the exciting programs, several artisan products will be displayed and we can taste some delicious and spicy meals.
The Pumpkin Day is on 14 October in the Botanical Garden with pumpkin carving, pumpkin exhibition, tasting of pumpkin dishes, artisan market and activities.
On 27 October exciting family programs await visitors at the Water Tower in Szent István tér, where pumpkins will be in focus again.
It is worth visiting the Zoo on the last day of October for Halloween. Witchy atmosphere, exciting meeting with scary animals, carnivore feedings and special animal petting await children and adults.
On 11 November Saint Martin’s Day activities will be held for children in the Rural House in Alsóváros, where the afternoon programs will be about geese,of course.
