Turning the clocks backward with one hour officially marks the start of Winter Time. However, despite the cooler temperatures, Szeged, the city of sunshine awaits visitors with several exciting programs.
November starts with the VII. Mangalica Festival in Széchenyi tér from 2 to 4 November. Besides roast whole pig and fresh greaves, visitors can taste different mangalica dishes. Not just traditional ones, but also mangalica street food made by the most modern technologies. During the day authentic folk music programs, performances and gastronomic shows entertain visitors followed by concerts in the afternoon.
Szeged Jazz Days 2018 will be held on 9-10 November in IH Event Center. Good vibes and talented musicians are guaranteed.
On 10 November you can participate in the Lantern walk, which guides you through the places in Szeged connected to the life of the famous scientist, Albert Szent-Györgyi.
On 16 November Cinderella by ExperiDance is on, where the classic fairytale is brought to life with spectacular show elements on stage. The performance held in the municipal sport hall features such scenery and onstage spectacle that are unique in Hungary.
On 23 November start the Christmas Festive Weeks. Szeged gets in festive mood again and after the Christmas lights turn on, the city center turns into a magical world. For the first time, this year we can ice-skate in Dóm tér, and we can have a seat in the giant Ferris wheel in Széchenyi tér. The twinkling reindeer in Dugonics tér await visitors who wish to take a good selfie.
A very special experience await the audience on the last Sunday of November in the palm tree house of the Botanic Garden: Szabolcs Kövi’s meditative concert that the participants can enjoy from relax chairs.
