Turku is 776 years old, it is the oldest city of Finland. It served as the capital of Finland. Its outstanding seaport has always been an important link between East and West. Due to its location, the Port of Turku is the busiest in Finland. Turku has a cultural identity as Finland’s historic center. It also hosted the country’s first university, the Academy of Abo.
