Would you like to get to know the fascinating world of nature up close?
The Interactive Natural History Museum of the Gyula Juhász Faculty of Education of the University of Szeged is guaranteed to provide an exciting experience for both young and old!
By preserving traditions and using modern technology, our institution strives to contribute to the general public being able to navigate the interesting world of natural sciences more easily, professionally and in an experiential way.
Our collection, which is part of the Hungarian Cultural Heritage, contains approximately 10,000 animal and plant species. The botanical and zoological preparations we preserve are unique and significant from a cultural-historical and nature conservation perspective.
Instead of the seclusion of museums, the Museum of Natural History awaits visitors with interactive sessions, demonstration classes, experiments, guided tours, and 3D nature films. To explore our collection – unlike usual museum practices – you will need your other senses in addition to your eyes!
Under the guidance of our “Try it in the Laboratory” staff, anyone from kindergarteners to teenagers can conduct spectacular experiments.
We welcome elementary school children interested in natural sciences to our summer day camps, who can deepen their knowledge in a variety of activities and field trips.
Come, try it out and immerse yourself in the world of scientific discoveries, become a researcher yourself! Experience the adventure of science in the Interactive Natural Sciences Knowledge Base!
