Timișoara is the capital city of Timis County. It is divided by the River Bega. The city center is separated from the other 4 parts of the city by parks. It has a population of 330.000. Timișoara is a comercial center and also one of the biggest cities in Romania. In the region the oil production, machine-, textil- and chemical industry are significant. Several big universities can be found in Timișoara.
