Throughout the autumn season, several guided tours offer the opportunity to marvel at the cranes arriving at Lake Fehér near Szeged, while also learning about the history of the lake.
Organized by the Kiskunság National Park Directorate
The Kiskunság National Park, in cooperation with the Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Society (MME), organizes the crane-watching excursions.
Participants can watch a short film about the life of cranes at the Szalakóta Visitor Centre, which also includes a bird-friendly gift shop, and then observe the cranes arriving at their roosting sites in real life.
Participation is only possible with a ticket purchased online in advance. Registration is available via the ticket purchase link.

Crane Watching Tours with Krisztián Ábrahám
For more than 20 years, Krisztián Ábrahám has been organizing crane-watching events at Lake Fehér near Szeged.
During this entertaining and educational program, visitors can learn fascinating facts about the birds while observing the cranes’ spectacular arrival at sunset from one of the best vantage points around the lake system.
The program lasts approximately until sunset.
