In the summer of 2026, the tents of popular publishers and booksellers will once again fill Dugonics Square. From June 11 to 14, at the open-air Ünnepi Könyvhét (Festive Book Week) in Szeged, visitors can explore the latest publications, meet contemporary authors, and take part in book signings. Meanwhile, the stage will host literary discussions, readings, concerts, minority cultural performances, and children’s and youth programs, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere throughout the event. On Saturday, the Night of Books will bring the square to life with stories, poetry performances, concerts, and the firefly-like glow of the booksellers’ lamps.
