Being the father of daughters is no easy task—as the wealthy Parisian soap manufacturer Bertrand Barnier is about to discover. One fine day, his comfortable home turns into a madhouse: news arrives of pregnant daughters, fraud, and embezzled money, and little by little it becomes clear that no one is quite who they seem to be. Before long, it feels as though the madness will never end…

The world-famous farce was originally made into a highly successful film starring the legendary French comedian Louis de Funès, and later became a showcase role for Sylvester Stallone. In the Miskolc National Theatre’s production, director Artur Szőcs relocates the story—originally set more than sixty years ago—to the present day, where the technological wonders of a smart home further complicate the already tangled web of misunderstandings.

Running time: 165 minutes, including one intermission.
Recommended for audiences aged 12 and over.

The play is represented in Hungary by Hofra Theatre and Literary Agency.
