The SZTE Autumn Cultural Festival is a multidisciplinary university and city event in Szeged that fills the autumn months with a rich and diverse program every year. The festival is organized for the 30th time by the Cultural Office of the University of Szeged, demonstrating that the university plays a defining role not only in science but also in the cultural life of the city.
The nearly two-month-long event series aims to provide a platform for the artistic groups operating at the university and for students with artistic ambitions, while also hosting performances by renowned Hungarian and international artists.
The program is extremely diverse: classical and popular music concerts, theatre and dance performances, literary evenings, exhibitions, film screenings, discussions, and performances follow one another throughout the festival. The hundreds of events held at around 70 venues involve not only university buildings but also many cultural spaces across Szeged. The key themes “autumn – art – multidisciplinary arts” perfectly capture the character of the festival.
