Every June, the rose growers of Szőreg celebrate their flowers, which are famous throughout Europe, with a series of programs. During the Szőreg Rose Festival, the streets and squares of the district are decorated with flowers.

Every year, the local residents warmly welcome all those who, like them, are lovers of roses. The Rose Festival offers an opportunity to gain insight into the everyday lives of rose growers: those interested can learn about the rose fields around Szőreg, the work going on in the fields, and the everyday life of this difficult but wonderful profession.

A beautiful live rose exhibition awaits visitors at the local cultural center, but the main attraction is the rose parade: horse-drawn carriages, cars, and bicycles decorated with roses parade through the main streets of the district.
