On the occasion of the Rose Festival, in Szőreg, the homeland of the rose, growers celebrate their Europe-famous flowers every June with a series of events. During the Szőreg Rose Festival, the streets and squares of the town are adorned with floral decorations.

Local residents warmly welcome back, year after year, all those who, like them, are passionate about roses. The festival offers a unique opportunity to get a glimpse into the daily life of rose growers: visitors can explore the rose fields around Szőreg and learn about the work that goes into this challenging yet wonderful profession.

At the Tömörkény István Cultural Center, visitors can admire a beautiful exhibition of live roses, but the main attraction is the spectacular rose parade: horse-drawn carriages, cars, and bicycles decorated with roses wind their way through the main streets of the town.
