With dazzling music by the legendary songwriting brothers, Rob Bolland and Ferdi Bolland, a gripping book by André Breedland, The 3 Musketeers are coming to Dóm square!
The play full of twists and turns features all the iconic figures from the cult classic novel by Alexandre Dumas, all the friends and foes of the three (plus one) musketeers: King Louis and Queen Anne, her confidante, the lovely Constance, the scheming Cardinal Richelieu with his villainous henchman, Rochefort, the Duke of Buckingham and the devious Milady whose questionable deeds shroud even darker secrets…
In the newest production by the Festival, breakneck duels, secret moonlight trysts, games of cat and mouse pave the way to power and happy endings; at the largest stage in Hungary, the players live by the sword – quite literally – and a conspiracy reaching across the La Manche holds the power to make or break the destiny of young lovers and even the French Monarchy itself.
With renowned Hungarian musical actors and actresses taking part in the daring twists of The 3 Musketeers, a truly excellent cast and crew is set to bring this epic musical tale of camaraderie, love, intrigue and adventure to the audience at the Szeged Open-air Theatre Festival.
