The musical programs of the Muzsikáló Udvar provide a counterpoint to the monumental performances of the Open-Air Games. Operating for several decades, the events of the Muzsikáló Udvar take place in the historic, neo-baroque courtyard of Szeged City Hall. It was established in 1970 as a complementary program to the Szeged Open-Air Games.
In contrast to the large outdoor audience area, the courtyard, which can accommodate 250–300 people, creates a more intimate connection between the artist and the audience. Taking advantage of the fact that music is a universal language, the classical and high-quality light music performances held in the City Hall courtyard promise enjoyable summer evening entertainment for international visitors as well.
