The Szeged celebrations of the Foundation of the Hungarian State, to be held in 2026, will pay tribute in a fitting and dignified manner to the founding of the Hungarian state and the legacy of King Saint Stephen. The multi-day program series aims to strengthen the sense of national unity through community experiences, cultural and traditional events, while also showcasing Szeged’s rich cultural values. The festive events will offer meaningful leisure opportunities and shared moments of celebration for all age groups.

Of course, it will be worth visiting not only for the programs, as wineries, breweries, caterers, and artisans will also welcome visitors at Széchenyi Square.
