Between May 4th and June 4th 2026 discover “The Colors of Sound” through a unique multi-art experience that will take over the streets of Szeged and its university spaces. HangSzínek, “the Colors of Sound” is not merely a traditional exhibition, but an interactive, discovery-based urban art tour. SZTE Alma Mater cordially invites all interested visitors to take part in this adventure. Let’s live the joy of discovery together!
The exhibition focusses on the works of Henriett Belák, an alumna of the University of Szeged (SZTE), and this time, visual art is intertwined with music and literature. Artworks placed at various points throughout the city are paired with QR codes, allowing visitors to access music and Hungarian poems – thus turning every image into a complex, multi-sensory experience.
As part of the University Spring, “The Colors of Sound” is an innovative, youthful, and community-building initiative that simultaneously strengthens the urban presence of the university and brings art closer to everyday life. The exhibition encourages active participation: visitors can collect experiences, leave comments, and even recieve gifts upon visiting all the locations. Families will also be welcomed by a playful “Exhibition Wanderer” guide, making the program enjoyable for all ages.
You can walk to the locations alone with headphones to immerse yourself in the connection between the artworks and the music, or you can even share the experience with your friends. You can also upload your results from the walk to our SZTE Let’s Do This! kilometer collection spring challenge! Walk the city and discover the new dimension of art.
Further information on locations and suggested routes can be found on the event website.
