In keeping with our tradition, we have scheduled the event for the last weekend of July, timed to coincide with the peak blooming of the Indian lotus that has adorned our garden pond for nearly a hundred years.

For the 36th time, the MASZK Association of Szeged is organizing the THEALTER Festival, which for more than three decades has showcased the most exciting productions of Hungary’s independent theatre scene every summer.

Bárka presents the 4th Szeged Gin & Rum Gastro Festival from September 3–6.

In connection with the feast of Saint Gellért, the Szeged-Csanád Diocese organizes the Saint Gellért International Festival every autumn. The concerts feature rare classical music pieces that further enrich the city’s vibrant musical life.

The Szeged Jazz Days is one of Hungary’s longest-running jazz festivals. The event is a popular meeting place for lovers of the genre, and its diverse, high-quality programs attract not only domestic and international audiences but also leading musicians

The month-long series of events aims to provide an opportunity for the university’s artistic groups and students with creative ambitions, as well as renowned performers and artists, to showcase their work to audiences in Szeged.

Following tradition, Szeged Advent, the season of preparation, begins on November 27, before the first Sunday of Advent.
