GENERAL PRACTITIONER OUT-OF-HOURS CARE
GP out-of-hours care is organized to provide urgent medical services that cannot be postponed until the next regular consultation hours.
• Weekdays: 16:00–22:00
• Weekends and public holidays: 08:00–14:00

EMERGENCY OUT-OF-HOURS CARE
Central out-of-hours telephone number: 1830
This service provides assistance in case of sudden or serious health problems during out-of-hours periods.
• Weekdays: 22:00–08:00
• Weekends and public holidays: 14:00–08:00
By calling the central number, patients receive professional advice. If necessary, an emergency out-of-hours vehicle will be dispatched to the patient’s location, or in life-threatening situations, an ambulance will be sent immediately.
The central out-of-hours number is available throughout the entire out-of-hours period:
• Weekdays: 16:00–08:00
• Weekends and public holidays: 24 hours a day

PAEDIATRIC OUT-OF-HOURS CARE
Paediatric out-of-hours care is provided by the National Ambulance Service at the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health Centre of the University of Szeged, Szent-Györgyi Albert Clinical Centre

• Weekdays: 16:00–22:00
• Weekends and public holidays: 08:00–20:00

The emergency telephone number of the ambulance service remains unchanged. In case of accidents or other immediate life-threatening situations, assistance must be requested by calling 112 (Unified Emergency Call System), 24 hours a day.
