The Szeged Water Theatre is a unique and atmospheric summer cultural event series in Szeged that combines the art of theatre with the proximity of the River Tisza and the charm of open-air performances. The event welcomes audiences at the Huszár Mátyás riverfront and in the square in front of the Szeged Cellar Theatre, creating a special setting for the performances.
The aim of the program series is to offer rich and easily accessible cultural experiences for both the residents of Szeged and visitors to the city during the summer season. The repertoire of the Szeged Water Theatre features a wide variety of productions, including musical performances, theatre productions, literary evenings and light summer entertainment shows.
