The SZINkópé Festival is one of Szeged’s most cheerful and colorful family events, transforming the city into a celebration of childhood and shared experiences every year. During the festival, downtown Szeged fills with laughter, music, and play, while both children and adults can take part in a diverse and experience-rich program series.
The SZINkópé Festival is organized by the Kövér Béla Puppet Theatre. The program places children at the center, offering theatre and puppet performances, concerts, interactive games, and community activities for families. The aim of the event is not only to entertain but also to develop creativity, encourage shared play, and provide lasting cultural experiences even for the youngest visitors.
One of the festival’s most spectacular highlights is the giant puppet parade, during which impressive, large-scale puppet figures march through the city.
