The Szeged Tricycle Festival is a unique, multi-day urban cultural event that combines cycling, literature, community experiences and creative cultural participation. First launched in 2021, the festival has since become a defining event in Szeged’s cultural calendar and has quickly grown beyond its original format. The program attracts not only local audiences but is also enriched by the participation of partner cities beyond the border, such as Magyarkanizsa and Sepsiszentgyörgy.
One of the distinctive features of the festival is that it creates a cultural corridor through some of Szeged’s most important public spaces and institutions, which participants can explore by bicycle over the course of three days. The festival offers a rich and diverse program, ranging from literary discussions and book presentations to “literary markets,” creative workshops, as well as music and theatre events.
