PAPRIKA MUSEUM

Did you know that
  • the Indians used hot peppers as tear gas and as a form of punishment?
  • the word paprika originated in the Szeged area and is known all over the world?
  • what is the difference between sweet and sweet peppers?
  • there was a paprika rebellion against the regulation of the paprika industry 100 years ago?
  • if you learn to make a stew, you can make at least ten other dishes?
And there's much more you can learn at the Paprika Mill and Museum in Röszke. PaprikaMolnár combines production with tradition in a unique way: in our Paprika Mill we produce excellent ground paprika and in our Paprika Museum we present the 200-year history of Szeged paprika culture. The museum is a private exhibition, created for tourism, tradition and education. It includes: a paprika and spice shop, an indoor exhibition and film screening, a garden visit from spring to autumn and nature studies in the biodiversity-friendly garden of the museum, a mill-inspection during the autumn processing period, and the Röszkei Rose Pepper Day. The Paprika Museum can be visited with a guided tour or independently with the help of an audio guide during the opening hours of the Paprika Mill throughout the year. For guided tours or group and weekend visits, booking is required.
