Liége is the daughter of the River Meuse, and it is also called the “passionate city”. Both northern and southern European culture can be found here. Liége is an old industrial city trying to adapt to the 21st century. The city has been going through big and quick changes , so old things meet new ones, for example the passages, shopping streets and terraces of the old city centre meet the central and modern Saint Lambert Square.
