St. Gellért International Music Festival
September 23. – 12:00 - October 1. – 20:00
The St. Gellért International Music Festival was founded in 2008 by Swiss composer-conductor Robert Bachmann together with Bishop László Kiss-Rigó of Szeged-Canada.
From the very beginning, the primary goal of the festival has been to ensure that Szeged is not left out of the European music scene, bringing to the Szeged audience musical experiences that are increasingly celebrated in global music metropolises such as Vienna, Amsterdam, London and elsewhere.
The festival is organised each autumn by the Diocese of Szeged-Csanád in connection with the feast of St. Gellért the Martyr, the first bishop of the diocese (24 September).
The festival programme and more information will be available later!
